Day 111.
I thought today would be a great day for a giveaway!!!
I knew I wanted to give some stuff away to you guys, my awesome readers, so I contacted the inventor of this product to ask if we could work something out. He graciously sent me two of these! One for me to try and review and one to give away!
Here's what it is.
It's called a Krustbuster. It cuts the crusts off of sandwiches and seals the edges. How cool is that???
It even comes with these cool "stamps" to impress the top of your sandwiches.
I chose the star.
Here's how it works.
Place one slice of bread on the buster.
Gently press to score the bread.
See?
This gives you a guide on where to stop with the fillings so it seals correctly.
Assemble your sandwich. I used peanut butter, strawberry jelly and sliced strawberries. (There's your recipe for the day :) )
Place the bread back on the buster.
Top with the second slice.
And PRESS!
The crust then simply peels away.
Leaving you a pocket sandwich! How cool!
Ta-da!!
So.
Now the review.
I really liked this. The stamps come in their own container, which is nice for storage purposes. Once I made a couple of sandwiches in this, it really got my mind rolling about what all could be made. Stuffed french toast, pizza pockets, even breakfast sandwiches!
So.
Now for the giveaway!!!!
To enter the giveaway, simply comment on this post, telling me about the best sandwich you've ever had. Was it grandma's pb&j, something you ordered on a great vacation or a plain ol' hamburger which was the first thing you could eat after giving birth? Not that the plain ol' hamburger is my favorite. Uhh. Nope. Not at all.
Hey. I was hungry, okay? And, I didn't get breakfast that day. It must have been something special, because I still think it was quite possibly the best sandwich ever.
Anyway. Back on subject.
You can enter this until April 28, at which time a winner will be chosen through random.org, a random number generator.
For those of you that haven't figured out how to comment, at the end of this post, it will list the "tags" and say --comments. Click on that and it should take you to a page where you can comment.
Can't wait to hear what all you guys have to say!!

Looks like a fun gadget to have for kids!!! -Mandie Bower
I know I'm supposed to be an adult now, but I would so take this to my dorm and make pb&j all the time! haha
The best sandwich I ever had was, strangely enough, purchased from Safeway on Granville Street in Vancouver. I was starving, and was on a lunch break at work, but had to do some errands while I was on it. The deli had just started to serve custom gourmet sandwiches, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. I ordered their Italian Classic: salami, ham, provalone, onions, hot peppers, olives - all smothered in a creamy garlic sauce and buttered with garlic butter on a rustic baguette. My eyes rolled back in my head, and I had the best mouthgasm by sandwich, ever.
Best sandwich EVAH! was the corned beef sandwich I had at Maxies in NYC. It was 1 lb of corned beef. The corned beef was super tender and so, so good! It was actually 2 meals for me, because there was so much to it. Ahhhhh. I think I'd make a trip to NYC again just to have another.
Best sandwich ever - was made at a place called Tomascos! It was a sourdough bun with pizza sauce, provolone cheese, italian salomi, pepperoni, and shaved ham. Then baked in their pizza oven. It was awesome!
Best sandwich I ever had was a Portabello Mushroom sandwich--It was a first and Super Awesome
Oh...I love sandwiches so hard to pick THE BEST EVER. I really love a nice toastie with turkey and any kind of cheese. IMHO, Sprouts always make it taste better too. Mmmmm.
Ok, so this gadget....I have THREE kids that won't eat crusts! Oh, how I need this baby! :-) Fingers crossed!

Hmmm....I love sandwiches, so it is hard to decide.
It could quite possibly be the Monte Cristo with Turkey, american cheese, ham, provalone cheese, deep fried, cut into fourths, sprinkled with powdered sugar and eaten with strawberry preserves.
Another favorite of mine is the Reuben.
Rueben in Chicago on a food tour. It was made with beef pastrami instead of corned beef, and the sauce was homemade not thousand island. The tour was in the Old Town area and I highly recommend it.
This is tough because I've had a lot of yummy sandwiches. Probably something along the turkey, pear, brie cheese, carmelized onion, honey mustard route.
Best sandwhich I even had used to be at TGIFriday's I can't remember the name but it was Italian something. It was severed with fries and mayo with parmesean cheese on the mayo. I still want that cheesey good mayo for my sandwich and frieds. HEAVEN!

My favorite is a peanut butter and banana sandwich on toast with mayo. My mom made the best ones! Love your blog!
I guess BLT would be my fave.
Best sandwich ever was at a hip little place in Newark, NJ. It was sliced prime rib, caramelized onions, sauteed mushrooms, arugula and feta cheese all in a wrap. Heavenly!
Looks awesome, my fave is pb&j...hands down.
This gadget looks really neat, Londyn would love to use this and make her own sandwich! The best sandwich I had was the Big Mac from McDonald's right after I had Londyn, after not eating for 18 hours I was craving one so bad! Andrea Walston
My favorite sandwich was probably this omelet my dad makes with breakfast stuff in it and then you put it on toast.
The best sandwich I ever had was this grilled veggie panini at a cafe that was by my house in California. I went there a lot for that sandwich. It had grilled veggies and goat cheese on a french bread panini. Yum!
This looks fun! I would use it to make pizza pockets....my favorite! The best sandwich ever is a nice thinly sliced fresh turkey deli on a sweet gourmet bread!
I really enjoy your blog Bobbi, you do a great job!
Gail Parker
Hmmm...I'd have to go with the Philly Cheesesteaks we had on vacation when Gavin was a baby...in none other than Pittsburgh...yum! Love your recipes...
The best sandwich I ever had was at a little corner cafe in Albany, GA where I am from...it was turkey on grilled rye bread with tomato & provalone cheese..can't remember the name of it, but it was oh so yummy!!!
My first Gryo in Chicago. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM Heaven or Greece either one LOL
